Safety
The HaloSense™ mechanism includes this dual-position, pressure-controlled ring designed to support controlled operation. The ring mechanism can limit engagement of the cutting edges and can help minimize accidental contact with soft tissues.
Precision
Surgify Halo™ is designed with a self-centering ring mechanism that helps minimize chattering during use. In surgeon testing, the device has demonstrated smoother cutting performance compared with conventional burr designs.
Speed
The effective bone-cutting properties of Surgify HaloTM combined with the HaloSense safety mechanism provides confidence in performing fast and controlled bone resection.
The HaloSense™ mechanism consists of a pressure-controlled ring with a larger diameter than the drill tip. In one position, the ring retracts to allow cutting of hard tissue. In another position, the ring can protrude to a level higher than the cutting edges to shield the drill tip from engaging with soft or elastic tissue.
