Surgify Halo™ wins the Pediatric Innovation Challenge 2025
We are proud to share that Surgify Halo™ has been selected as the winner of the Pediatric Innovation Challenge 2025.
The challenge recognizes startups and companies developing new technologies, diagnostics, and treatment methods for pediatric healthcare.
The decisive selection criterion was Surgify Halo’s ability to address an unmet clinical need in pediatric orthopedic procedures, where surgeons may work around smaller and more delicate anatomy, and where controlled bone removal is especially important.
As part of the next step, Surgify Medical will begin a usability pilot at the pediatric orthopedics clinic of the New Children’s Hospital in May. The pilot will assess the usability of different Surgify Halo™ sizes in pediatric orthopedic procedures, with a particular focus on scoliosis surgeries.
The pilot will provide valuable feedback from pediatric surgeons and support our ongoing product development work as we continue developing Surgify Halo™ in close collaboration with clinical users.
From product development and testing to close collaboration with clinical users, this pilot reflects how Surgify’s product portfolio continues to be developed with practical surgical use in mind.
A warm thanks to the Pediatric Innovation Challenge organizers, Helsinki University Central Hospital, the New Children’s Hospital Foundation, Health Incubator Helsinki, and Forum Virium Helsinki, for supporting innovation in pediatric healthcare.
We look forward to starting the pilot and learning from your clinical feedback.
