New Surgify Halo™ study data presented at EANS 2024 in beautiful Sofia, Bulgaria
Dr. Esa-Pekka Pälvimäki MD, PhD presented new study results on Surgify Halo™ at the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies annual meeting.
The study, “A Novel High-Speed Drill for Safe and Efficient Bone Surgery in Humans” was conducted at the Helsinki University Central Hospital's Department of Neurosurgery.
The aim of the study was to evaluate the safety, clinical performance, and effectiveness of Surgify Halo™. The observational study included 20 adult subjects undergoing intracranial or spinal neurosurgical procedures and concluded that Surgify Halo™ was found to be safe, easy to use, effective, and suitable for the removal of hard tissue and bone in cranial and spinal neurosurgical procedures. There were no soft tissue injuries reported in the procedures.
The study will be submitted for publication, and we will share the results once published.
We thank Dr. Pälvimäki for presenting the data and the investigators Dr. Nuutti Vartiainen and prof. Mika Niemelä MD PhD IFAANS for conducting the study and are looking forward to the publication.
