1. What is your favorite part about your job?
My favorite part about my job is being part of a fantastic team and introducing a new surgical burr technology to the market. This technology not only enhances the work of surgeons but also reduces the risk of complications for patients during surgery. It is highly rewarding for me. Attending surgeries where our burr, Surgify Halo, is being used and receiving positive feedback from surgeons and nurses encourages and motivates me every day.
2. What are some of the biggest lessons you’ve learned or challenges you’ve faced at your company?
Being part of a small company that is introducing a new cutting-edge design and innovation to a highly competitive sector has been a major but fun challenge. Exhibiting our products at targeted medical conferences, building a customer network, earning trust and reliance, and demonstrating our goal of becoming a long-term partner are key factors to our success.
3. What are some of the biggest wins you’ve had at your company?
The biggest win for me personally was joining Surgify Medical. Work-wise, starting almost from zero at the end of last year to now having a majority of Swedish university hospitals successfully performing surgeries using the Surgify Halo/Surgify safety burr has been a significant achievement.
4. Do you have any predictions for the future of the industry or the company?
At Surgify Medical, I believe we will continue to develop and grow our innovative portfolio and solutions. We plan to introduce our products to new markets, potentially becoming one of the most preferred choices within this field and technology.
5. What is a fun fact that people are surprised to learn about you?
A fun fact about me is that I crossed the Atlantic in a sailboat when I was a teenager, and since then, I’ve been addicted to sailing. My crew often includes my ship-cat, Bamse. I’m also a certified scuba diver, and have swam with whale sharks and the great white shark, while being inside a protective cage. I sometimes sing in a chorus too.
